Homes for Hooky
Make a donation and be part of the solution to the housing crisis and climate emergency!
We invite you to be part of the solution to the housing crisis and climate emergency by contributing to an innovative affordable and sustainable housing project that will transform people’s lives. It will enable young people, older people and families to afford to live in climate positive homes in the community they love, and provide a lasting legacy for future generations.
As a voluntarily led community land trust, we depend on grants and generous contributions to bridge financial gaps and sustain our annual operational expenses. Recognising the challenges of urgent housing demands, lack of affordability, and the call for increased renewable energy, we invite your support. Your contribution will empower us to transform this compelling project into a model that can be replicated across the nation. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the housing crisis and pave the way for a more sustainable future.
Find out how our project will change the lives of local people, by providing affordable homes that will enable them to live and work in the community they love. Read our Blogs and News for more information.
This unique community-led project is providing 12 affordable, energy efficient, climate positive homes for local people, along with communal facilities that will increase community spirit and have a positive impact on the environment. The addition of a microgrid to generate and distribute renewable energy to the homes, will enable residents to benefit from discounted electricity bills, making the rising cost of energy easier to manage.
We are now ready to accept donations ahead of our Community Share Raise. If you share and support our vision for affordable and highly sustainable low carbon community-led homes, that will meet community needs, please consider making a donation so that we can include all the proposed elements of the project in good time, and fund the year-to-year operational costs.
The benefits of donating to the HNCLT project include :
Contribution to the group effort creating such a unique community–led project that will leave a lasting legacy for the next generation and pave the way for other communities to follow our lead.
Taking advantage of personal and/or business tax relief.
An invitation to be included on a ‘Recognition of Support’ plaque - open to any donors who make a donation before December 31st 2023
Become a Supporter
By becoming a “Supporter”, and making a donation to HNCLT, you can help us to continue our pioneering work to address the housing crisis and climate emergency, by contributing to a lasting legacy for future generations.
HNCLT will eventually have a small income from the Spare Room rent and the Community Building. That will take some time to build up, and until then, we remain a modest, volunteer-driven organisation, who depend on grants and generous contributions to bridge financial gaps and sustain our annual operational expenses.
We recognise the widespread sense of powerlessness in the face of urgent housing demands, affordability challenges, and the call for increased renewable energy.
Your contribution will allow us to deliver this innovative community led project, built to the highest sustainability standards, and accessible to local people in housing need, regardless of their income.
You will be empowering us to transform this compelling project into a model that can be replicated across the nation. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on pressing issues and pave the way for a more sustainable future.
We value all donations however large or small. You can even make a donation as a gift or in memory of a loved one. Please make your Donation to HNCLT via our Crowdfunder Page
We appreciate (and in the short term will rely on) the security that your donations provide. It will help us manage our work to create a truly community-led project that will benefit anyone with a link to our lovely village. You can give monthly or yearly to support our work on a regular basis.
If you are a UK taxpayer and give your consent and additional details on the Crowdfunder site, we can claim Gift Aid when you make a donation from your own funds, as long as you have paid UK Income and / or Capital Gains Tax during that tax year.
Every £1 will be worth £1.25 to us at no extra cost to you.
